FILMAKA JOURNAL : Compete to win funding for a full length documentary.

This is the first of our ongoing Journal competition. Upload a non-fiction clip – only 30 to 180 seconds – and watch other members vote on it! Enter as many times as you like. At the end of each competition, one winner will be chosen from the Journals with the top 15 votes to receive $500! Another winner will be chosen by the Filmaka Team for another $500. At the end of the year, one competition winner will go on to receive funding for a full-length documentary.

FX COMPETITION – CALLING FOR COMEDIES

FX Networks is offering a search for comic talent through Filmaka.com! Make a 3-minute comedy pilot and write a 2-page pitch about what the rest of the season would be like. Then upload it to us. 10 filmakas will get $1000 to revise their short and then one will be given up to $40,000 by FX to do a 15-20 minute version of their idea. If FX likes it, they may pick up your show to add to their fall season!
