THE GAME : Entry Level Winning Clips

For February's contest, Filmaka asked you to create your own procedural show – doctors, lawyers, cops or other professionals on the job. Filmaka sets guidelines for each competition to meet our development goals and the goals of those we are in partnership with.

While most of the submissions laid out series ideas, many of them didn't quite fit into the genre we asked for and, as a result, we had to be flexible in our awards. We are willing to expand the scope of our contests when the quality of the material is outstanding. In this case, there were five such entries. Our selections for winners for this contest were based on uniqueness, good characterization, and the excitement each generated in us to see the next episode.

"Runners" tracks the escapades of Claveria and Flores, two partners in crime who are double-crossed regularly on the job as professional gunrunners. Brought to you by the real-life G.R. Claveria, D.S. Flores and Alesha Noice.

In "The Cure," Lee Isserow creates an eerie sci-fi thriller about a doctor making a very unusual house call.

Richard Wojcicki, Peppy Pepperson, Bobby Sansivero and Brian Dodd's "Safety Seconds" gives us a demonstration by an Urban Safety Trainer of questionable professional competence.

Julia Pierpont's "New Management" follows a day in the life of a new pet shop manager and the irrational customers and employees who frequent the place.

Daniel Stephenson's "Zos Kia Cultus" takes us inside a secret brotherhood living beneath the city streets.

Thank you to all who submitted and we hope you will keep checking the site for the next competition and carefully read those contest guidelines!
